Hello Lovelies,

Welcome to the Solzie Community! I am so happy you are here. Solzie Skincare & Candles was created from a love of essential oils and natural skincare. I was the teenager who used to enjoy spending my time in the health store looking at all the different skincare products and essential oils and when The Body Shop came to Killarney I was in heaven! While my friends were buying make-up I was buying face masks and moisturisers! Growing up with Epilepsy, suffering with serious fatigue during the day, wide awake at night I was always searching for something natural to help especially as I was taking a considerable amount of medication for my illness which led me to Aromatherapy. I had many books on the subject by my late teens and decided to become a Holistic Therapist when I finished school as I truly believe in the power of natural healing, treating the whole person, mind, body and spirit.

My Journey has not been an easy one, living with epilepsy has brought its own challenges and over the years I have experienced moments when life felt overwhelming and uncertain to say the least. But through this journey I discovered that sometimes the smallest rituals can make a difference.

A calming fragrance, a warm bath, a nourishing body butter or a beautiful candle flickering in the background.

A few quiet moments where you can just switch off from the outside world.

They didn’t magically fix everything but they did do something magical…provided the inspiration for Solzie.

My love of creating products began throughout Covid as a way to keep my mind and body focused on something I loved, something that would remind you that you deserve to take care of yourself, which over time became Solzie Skincare & Candles.

Solzie was my mum’s nickname for me when I was young, she had the most beautiful skin, I watched her every night doing her skincare routine with only natural products that I can still smell now. She passed away when I was 15 so I named my brand after her, she is my inspiration and she is here with me everyday.
